For a position of strategic importance, we are looking for a Firefighting Design Engineer with previous experience in the design of fire protection systems, to join the team of one of the largest international engineering companies, with more than 60,000 employees, and dealing mainly with engineering, procurement and construction management activities. Specifically, the resource will be involved in several projects aimed at the design of large-scale fire-fighting systems in an industrial environment (logistics / data centre / chemical/pharmaceutical) and will report directly to the HVAC/Firefighting Function Manager. Main Responsibilities: • Create and develop designs for firefighting systems, from concept to detailed plans, including the preparation of technical documents such as reports, specifications, layouts, schematics, calculations, and cost estimates; • Supervise and manage the creation and updates of 3D models for firefighting systems; • Manage meetings with clients and stakeholders (suppliers, contractors, etc.) to discuss project progress and coordination; • Coordinate the work of both local and international consultants to ensure smooth project execution; • Provide support for construction activities, offering technical guidance and ensuring they follow the design when needed; • Ensure all designs and project activities comply with relevant regulations, codes, and engineering standards, following best practices in the field. Main requirements: • Master's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering; • Previous experience in designing fire protection systems (such as inert gas system, water mist, sprinkler, foam system, dry chemical, etc.); • Knowledge of the main national and international fire safety standards (e.g. general/specific legal standards, UNI - UNI EN standards, NFPA standards, etc.; • Knowledge of the main insurance standards (e.g. FM Regulations, etc.); • Excellent knowledge of the English language.
