For a position of strategic importance, we are looking for a HVAC Engineer to join the team of one of the largest international engineering companies, with more than 60,000 employees, and dealing mainly with engineering, procurement and construction management activities. Specifically, the resource will be involved in several projects aimed at the design of large-scale HVAC systems in an industrial environment (logistics / data centre / chemical/pharmaceutical) and will report directly to the HVAC/Firefighting Function Manager. Main responsibilities: • Design heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. • Develop design criteria, balance airflow, and perform energy calculations. • Assist in calculating Utilities requirements for both generation and distribution systems, including Chilled, Hot, Glycol, Softened, and Potable Water, as well as Drainage and Sewage systems. • Create technical specifications, scope of work documents, bills of quantities, and other related materials for HVAC and Utilities services. • Develop A&FDs (Application and Functional Diagrams) and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) based on design requirements. • Monitor HVAC and Utilities contractors and provide engineering support during construction. • Provide technical guidance and support during installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC systems. • Collaborate daily with other engineering disciplines and international consultants. • Regularly attend coordination meetings with clients and stakeholders, alongside the Lead HVAC Engineer. • Ensure all HVAC systems comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. Main requirements: • Master's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering. • Previous experience in HVAC design. • Experience with both domestic and international projects. • Familiarity with national and international technical standards and codes (e.g., ASHRAE, Energy, and Sustainability codes). • Willingness to undertake international assignments. • Proficiency in both English and Italian.
