We are currently involved in the expansion of the Railway Division of an Italian company (>1.000 employees, departments across Italy and India), a world leader in the design and manufacturing of high tech rail vehicles. We are looking for a resource with experience in railway system engineering activities, to join our team as Signalling System Engineer. Specifically, our candidate will be responsible for the development and integration of complex systems in rolling stock and on-board systems and will be involved in all phases of the project, from requirements gathering and analysis to interface management and final system validation. Main responsibilities:  Interface with the customer to gather, document, and clarify needs and expectations;  Define interfaces between systems and components to ensure proper integration;  Establish the technical standards and regulations applicable to the project;  Interfacing with suppliers.  Identify and mitigate related project risks.  Plan the next stages of design based on the outputs of the functional specifications.  Collaboration with suppliers to ensure that specifications and quality standards are fully met during installation of on-board equipment.  Management of technical issues and coordination of corrective actions, if necessary.  Monitoring and test support for validation of the system installed in vehicles, up to commissioning. Main requirements:  Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical, electronic, automation or related) or equivalent experience.  Prior experience in similar roles, preferably in rail or other complex industries.  Thorough knowledge of industry regulations and standards (e.g., EN, ISO, IEC, railroad or industry safety standards).  Experience in requirements analysis, defining functional specifications, systems integration, and interface management.  Knowledge of the testing, validation and commissioning phases of complex systems.  Ability to work in a team and interact with various business functions, including suppliers and customers.  Excellent problem solving and risk management skills during project development.  Good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken.
