For a position of strategic importance, we are looking for a System Engineer with experience in AIV activities, to be involved into the staff of an important partner in the aerospace and defence sector that boasts more than 15,000 engineers. Specifically, the resource will be involved as a Payload AIV System Engineer in the Electro-Optical Payload Area and will be assigned to one or more international space programmes. Main activities/ responsibilities: • AIV (Assembly Integration and Verification) activities. • Management of requirements using a Data Base [Doors]: flow-down, preparation of verification matrices in the various project phases, management of sub-contractor/supplier requirements. • Support in defining system/sub-system technical specifications. • Drafting of verification documentation at system/sub-system level. • Planning of verification and test activities in accordance with the programme schedule. • Drafting of test plans/specifications in accordance with internal and customer requirements. • Managing equipment and test facilities throughout the verification phase and issuing the relevant interface documents [Instrument to GSE ICD, Instrument to Test Facility ICD]. • Support in the drafting of test procedures and management of related Non-Compliance. • Support / Preparation of test reports. • Subcontractor management and control for technical aspects of AIV. • Documentation in English according to ECSS standards. • Participation in meetings (review) and teleconferences with customer and subcontractors (English language). • Preparation of procedures / reports / verification matrices. • Supporting the design/tuning/commissioning of test equipment. Main Requirement: • Engineering degree (aerospace, mechanical or electronics) or physics degree (preferably optics, structure of matter). • Experience in systems engineering, possibly in the aerospace or radio frequency field. • Ability to analyse and manage requirements. • Ability to manage sub-contractors. • Ability to write documentation in English. • Knowledge of Matlab o IDL, Mathcad, Project, Office. • Interdisciplinary / systems approach. • Analytical skills. • Communication skills for working in a team and contact with the customer/subcontractor. • Fair degree of autonomy and responsibility, result orientation. • Ability to plan and organise work. Nice to have: • Knowledge of Doors. • Good knowledge of the English language (C1). • Knowledge of ECSS. • Experience in Radio-Frequency or Microwave Electro-optical. • Performance Analysis.
