We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a proven track record in managing the whole software development lifecycle, preferably in space projects. Specifically, the resource will play a key role in leading the software aspects of an exciting new ESA Space Program (scientific mission), ensuring compliance with standards, and delivering reliable software that fulfils the specified criteria. Main responsibilities: • Leading the development lifecycle of software products. • Developing a fully comprehensive Software Development Plan, considering appropriate software development methodologies. • Assure that all software-related activities, processes, deliverables, etc. are compliant with program specifications (ECSS or other relevant applicable standards), predefined plans, and quality strategies. • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders (such as subcontractors, etc.). • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals (e.g. HW engineer, system engineer, SW Product Assurance, etc.). Main requirements: • Master’s degree in computer engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field. • In-depth knowledge of aerospace or industry-equivalent standards (such as DO178-C, ECSS, or MIL-STD, etc.). • Proven experience in software requirements definition and software lifecycle management. • Good Knowledge of DOORS for requirements definition. • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills. • Fluent in written and spoken English.
